The 2004 World Boxing Hall of Fame Banquet of
Champions
by Dan Hanley
In Chicago, the turning of the leaves is the historical
indicator of winter's approach. Not so for my dad and I, who have made the trek west the
last several years in order to satiate our pugilistic appetites. For, the change of season
to us means it is time once again to rub elbows with old pugs, old acquaintances and old
friends at the World Boxing Hall of Fame banquet at the Crowne Plaza in Commerce,
California. So without further ado, let us once again take a pictorial walk through the
October 16 weekend of the WBHF.
