Charles "Bud" Taylor
The "Blond Terror of Terre Haute"

Taylor is an all-time great, though he was never Lineal Champion. Bud grew up in a rough neighborhood and learned to fight as a boy. He was a tough fighter with great stamina and a heavy right hand punch. Two men died following fights with Taylor: Frankie Jerome and Clever Sencio

He defeated, among others: Eddie Santry, Phil Rosenberg, Midget Smith, Abe Goldstein, Jimmy McLarnin, Phil Zwick, Pete Sarmiento, Joey Sangor, "California" Joe Lynch, Young Nationalista, Young Montreal, Eddie Shea, Chick Suggs, Tony Canzoneri, Santiago Zorilla, Battling Battalino, and Benny Bass

Nat Fleischer ranked Taylor as the #5 All-Time Bantamweight; Charley Rose ranked him as the #9 All-Time Bantamweight; Taylor was inducted to the Ring Boxing Hall of Fame in 1986 and the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2005
