Among those he defeated were Kid Chocolate, Freddie Miller, Charles "Bud" Taylor, "Panama" Al Brown, Fidel LaBarba, Al Singer, Andre Routis, Lew Massey, Bushy Graham, Lew Feldman and Cocoa Kid
