During his career, he met some talented men such as Jack McAuliffe, Jack Fogarty (two times), Denny Kelliher (two times), Harris Martin (Black Pearl), Frank Craig and Paddy Gorman; He managed to defeat Kelliher on one occasion and gained a draw against Fogarty once
