Doody was a manager and trainer of boxers and could use the gloves pretty well himself, being quick on his feet and fast with his fists; Besides being a skillful boxer, Patsy was a wonderful entertainer - a first-rate mimic, an exceptional dancer, a dead-shot with a pistol, a champion swimmer, and the "life of the party" wherever he went

He was also a boxing instructor
