CHICAGO, October 15, 2008 -- Nationally known ring announcer Thomas Treiber teams up with Chicago Bears legend Dick Butkus at the 7th Annual “ Chicago Charity Fight Night” this Thursday, October 16th at the Park West Theater.

This years’ “Chicago Charity Fight Night” is a benefit for the Dick Butkus Foundation specifically to raise funds and awareness for his

“I PLAY CLEAN” campaign in addition to other extremely worthy causes. Joined by his son Matt, Butkus is hitting the issue of steroids head on. The “I PLAY CLEAN” program is a grassroots effort asking students, parents and coaches to choose the alternative of training hard, eating well and playing with attitude.

“I’m glad to work with Dick Butkus for this most worthy cause. He is truly an American sports icon and it will be a pleasure to emcee the evening’s proceedings and to ring announce the amateur boxing matches” said Treiber.

Thomas Treiber has been amongst the most visible and versatile announcers in boxing, mixed martial arts and professional wrestling for the last seventeen years. His credits include work on HBO, Showtime, CBS Sports, ESPN, Fox Sports Net, Spike TV and Pay Per View events. He can be contacted through his website at www.thomastreiber.com or by calling 219-801-9433.
