Local Talent to Be Showcased in Caldwell, Idaho

Saturday, April 5th at the O’Connor Field House in Caldwell, Idaho R & B Promotions presents a seven bout fight card featuring some of the best young fighters in Southern Idaho.
In the main event undefeated local prospect Mario Hernandez takes on Montana’s Daniel Gonzalez for the vacant North West Boxing Association lightweight title. Hernandez will be fighting in his hometown for only the second time in his short career. In his last outing he scored an eight round unanimous decision over Jose Alberto Reyes. For this bout he faces a tough, face first brawler who promises to give the youngster a stern test. A veteran of twenty three fights, Gonzalez has been in the ring with some solid competition including Tyrone Harris, Dominick Salcido, and Donald Camarena.
Also on the card, Miguel Albares, fresh off an appearance on the Azteca America reality T.V. show Retador Azteca, faces Scott Furney in a six round bout. Exciting Heavyweight brawler Ija Flapping Eagle squares off with Shidevin Brown in a four round bout. Four other bouts round out the under card.
The show starts at 7pm, doors open at 6pm. Tickets to the event can be purchased at the door. The O’Connor Filed House, also known as the Caldwell Events center, is located at 2207 E. Blaine St., Caldwell, ID.
