Freddie Cuevas calls out WBO Champion Daniel Santos
Press Release

CHICAGO, IL - Junior middleweight, Freddie Cuevas, 22-6-1 (16) had just finished his workout at JABB Boxing Gym in Chicago on Monday afternoon when the talk quickly turned to WBO Champion Daniel Santos, 27-2-1 (20).

"He's on the internet talking about fighting Bernard Hopkins, he should forget that pipe dream. He's got a fight scheduled for February 27th in Louisville, tell him I'll fly down and fight him."

With knockout wins in the last two years against former world champions Charles "The Natural " Murray and Wilfredo Rivera, Cuevas has faced tougher opponents that Santos and feels he is ready for the southpaw.

"I've followed his career for a long time including his loss to Kofi Jantuah, I can beat him, I just need his new promoter to call Dominic at 8 Count Productions. No use talking about Bernard Hopkins because he's busy with bigger fights, this is a perfect fight for both of us."
