Park was a fine fighter who punched well and compiled a record of 46-5-1 with 39 knockouts; During his career, he won the WBA Super Middleweight Championship of the World, the IBF Super Middleweight Championship of the World, the OPBF Light Heavyweight Championship, the OPBF Middleweight Championship and the Middleweight Championship of Korea

Chong-Pal defeated such men as Murray Sutherland, Vinnie Curto, Kyun Min Nah, Jesus Gallardo, Emmanuel Otti, Lindell Holmes, Caesar Sasaki, Kenji Shibata, Phil "Spider" Davies, Doug Sam, Marvin Mack, Cassius Naito, Torkano Marcos and Roosevelt Green
