Servo was a clever boxer type but not a power hitter and was very difficult to beat; In a career of just over 50 bouts, he lost but 4 times - twice to "Sugar" Ray Robinson, once to Rocky Graziano and once (his last bout); During his career, he won the Welterweight Championship of the World

He defeated such men as Lew Jenkins, Freddie "Red" Cochrane, Freddie Archer, Billy Bullock, Bobby "Poison" Ivy, George Salamone, Tommy Fontana and Monty Pignatore

Servo was inducted into the Capital District Sports Hall of Fame in 2003 and the Schenectady School District Athletic Hall of Fame in 2005
