BORN December 10 1852; London, England DIED February 22 1918; White Plains, New York (Some sources report February 21 1918 in New York, New York) HEIGHT 5-8 1/2 WEIGHT 150 lbs Madden was a fighter, trainer and manager but was known more as a manager than as a fighter; Some of the better fighters he managed were John L.Sullivan, the "Nonpareil" Jack Dempsey, Jack McAuliffe, Tom Sharkey, Gus Ruhlin, Frank "Paddy" Slavin and Peter Maher; During his career, he conducted many boxing tournaments for young fighters
