George "K.O." ChaneyBorn: 1893 Baltimore Died: December 20, 1958 Baltimore Professional Record: 109-17 (86 kayoes) 55 ND |
George "K.O." Chaney a short southpaw with power like Naseem Hamed, was arguably the most ferocious Featherweight puncher until Sandy Saddler. Unfortunately like many other of history's big hitters, Chaney had a glass chin and was often kayoed or disqualified against the better boxers of the day. In his only two title bids he was iced by Johnny Kilbane in three, and fouled out against Johnny Dundee in the first Jr. Lightweight title bout.
