Bogan was a highly intelligent fighter who possessed fast hands and was scrappy, quick and game; He was Bantamweight Champion of the Pacific Coast during his career

He defeated such men as Dal Hawkins, John Joel, Kid Ryan, Spider Gallagher, Reddy Brennan and Tom Cooney

          area where he opened a popular training facility; He began
          managing Frankie Burns at that time
