Rochester, WA. The judges scored it 98-92, 96-94,
96-95.
On the undercard:
Dewey Welliver, 144 1/4 lbs (now 7-0) of Spokane,
WA. decked Christopher Fernandez 143 1/2 lbs (now
4-3) of Salt Lake City, Utah twice in the first round
and stopped him cold at 1:16 of the second in a
scheduled six round bout.
Debut kid Ruben Torres, 201 lbs, of Portland, OR won a
unanimous decision over James Partch, 194 lbs, (now
0-4) of Clackamas, OR.
William "Billy" Kirwan, 164 3/4 lbs(now 2-1) of
Portland, OR. won a majority decision over previously
undefeated Damion Hatch, 163 3/4 lbs (now 3-1, 3 KO’s)
of Bend, OR. One judge called it a draw.

Las Vegas won a unanimous decision in six over Chris

four round unanimous decision over Russian Edward
Utorov , 122 lbs( now 6-5) fighting out of Las Vegas.
A cruiserweight four rounder between Portland’s Jeff
Simmons and Nathaniel "Tex" Miles of Tacoma, WA. was
scratched when Miles flunked the pre-fight physical.
Steve Lowry , 134 lbs (now 2-0) of New Westminster,
British Colombia won a unanimous decision over
debuting Norman Campbell, 135 lbs(now 0-1) of Las
