Gene Fullmer W 15 Sugar Ray Robinson, NYC,
wins world middleweight title.

1964: 
Pernell (Sweet Pea) Whitaker born.

1969: 
Tommy Morrison born.

1973: 
Masao Ohba KO 12 Chatchai Chionoi, Tokyo,
retains WBA flyweight title. 3 weeks later Ohba 
is killed in a car accident. The 23-year-old Ohba 
died with a career mark of 35-2-1 (15).

1978: 
Guty Espadas KO 7 Kimio Furesawa, Tokyo,
retains WBA flyweight title.

1985: 
Gabriel "Flash" Elorde, 49, dies.

2000: 
In-Joo Cho W 12 Gerry Penalosa, Seoul, 
retains WBC Super flyweight Title.
