Power House Candy Robertson Faces Richard Gonzalez In the Main
Event
Dateline: Rochester, WA, August 15, 2000
Knockout specialist Candy Robertson of Portland, OR will face
Richard Gonzalez in a 10 round Junior Middleweight main event.
According to Promoter, Bennie Georgino, "Robertson may be the
hardest hitting Junior Middleweight in the country. I have
had a hard time finding opponents for him, but there are not many
takers." Gonzales will be formidable as he showed by
pounding his way to a big win in Southern California a few weeks
ago.
Former IBA Light Heavyweight Champ Ed Dalton of Emmett, ID will
meet Kip
Triplett of Springfield, OR in an eight round title fight for the
NWBA Light Heavyweight Championship. Both are regulars at
the Lucky Eagle and are known for non-stop action.
In a six round heavyweight match up Canadian Shane Sutcliffe will
face Anthony Curry of Chowchilla, CA.
Females return with Dakota Stone, Auburn, WA goes against Kelly
Whaley of Cedar City, UT in a four round Junior Middleweight bout.
Other four round bouts include Light Heavyweight Damian Hatch,
Bend, OR against Dan Jordon,
and William Kirwin faces Mario Bandera.
Changes and additional information will be announced as they
occur.
Tickets $40 ringside, $25 reserved, $20 reserved of general
admission available at Ticketmaster, casino (800-720-1788) or Twin
Cities Fuller's stores. Fighters are subject to change and
contract approval by the Washington State Boxing Commission.
