KYUNGJU CITY, KOREA-Ex-WBA super-feather champ YONGSOO CHOI, 130 1/4,
proved too powerful and pugnacious for Filipino JOE ESCRIBER, 130 1/2,
finishing him at 2:50 of the sixth round.
Having been dethroned by Japan's Takanori Hatakeyama last year, the
currently WBA #4 ranked Choi, 27-3-1, 17 KOs, is gunning for a shot at
the newly crowned compatriot, Jongkwon Baek.
UNDERCARD:
Korean minimum champ JAEWON KIM, 107 1/2, easily demolished Filipino
RHICKS PACIONES, 106 1/4, at 2:22 of the second round to better his mark
to 10-1-1, 4 KOs.
These results were presented by my Korean correspondent, Mr. Eunsang
Cho.
Kukdong Promotions.
