Chavez was a talented and clever fighter who punched hard and was "relentless aggression" throughout a bout; He was strong, possessed a good chin and was game under attack; Julio had 90 fights before losing a contest; A collector of titles, his accomplishments include the WBC Light Welterweight Championship of the World, the IBF Light Welterweight Championship of the World, the WBC Lightweight Championship of the World, the WBA Lightweight Championship of the World and the WBC Super Featherweight Championship of the World
