FORBES FORCED TO PULL OUT OF TITLE DEFENSE
WITH TRAINING CAMP INJURY
JUUKO TO DEFEND NABF TITLE AGAINST #4 ZEPEDA

INDIO, CA (April 19, 2001) . IBF jr. lightweight champion, STEVIE FORBES, 19-1 (5 KOs), from Las Vegas, NV, has been forced to withdraw from his world title defense, which was scheduled for this Sunday at Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, CA, against NABF interim super featherweight champion, Justin Juuko . Forbes' manager, Cameron Dunkin, informed America Presents today, that Forbes had suffered a back injury during training camp.

Juuko, 35-4-1 (25 KOs), will defend his NABF title against ERNESTO "BABY" ZEPEDA, the NABF's No. 4-rated contender, in the co-feature of a card headlined by undefeated WBA No. 1 super lightweight contender, HECTOR "MACHO" CAMACHO, Jr, 31-0 (17 KOs), against Larry LaCoursiere, 26-8-1 (14 KOs). Both fights will be televised nationally on FOX Sports Net, 6 to 8 P.M. in all times zones.

Zepeda, 26-5-2 (21 KOs), from Mazatlan, Mexico, has held the WBA-North America, the NABA and the WBA-Latin America super featherweight titles throughout his professional career. He captured the WBA-NA title in 1998 via a 12-round decision over Luis Montes. After two successful title defenses, both by knockout, Zepeda captured the NABA title in 1999 with a fourth-round knockout of Ernesto Benitez. After three successful knockout title defenses, Zepeda captured the WBA-LA title last year, winning a decision over Ricky Reynolds. He returns to the ring fresh from a first-round knockout victory over Arturo Campo in March. Eighty percent of Zepeda's victories have been by knockout!
